With recognized lines of investigation in:
1) Cell polarity and organelle positioning during plant development and in response to environmental factors such as light and gravity using the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana;

2) Comparative functional genomics in Arabidopsis, poplar and fruit trees such as peaches and cherries;

3) Identification and characterization of candidate genes in peaches and cherries and the identification of SNPs in these candidate genes to be used in Marker Assisted Breeding (MAS) programs..
